Car Scrap Price in Delhi: What Your Vehicle Is Actually Worth
A scrap car is not priced like a used car. Nobody is valuing the model, the service history or how it drives. It is priced on weight and on what is still bolted to it, which is why two identical cars can be worth very different amounts depending on how much has already been taken off them.
The single biggest thing you control is completeness. A car with its engine, gearbox, battery, wheels and catalytic converter still on it is worth substantially more than the same car after a workshop has removed the useful parts. If someone offers to buy parts off it first, work out the total before agreeing.

What decides the price of a scrap car?
Kerb weight first, then completeness. Engine, gearbox, wheels, battery and catalytic converter all carry value on their own, so a car that still has them is worth more than one that does not. Body condition barely matters, a dented car and a clean one of the same weight are worth about the same.
Is a diesel worth more than a petrol?
Usually slightly, because diesel engines and their components are heavier. The difference is smaller than most people expect and is swamped by whether the car is complete.
Should I sell the parts separately first?
Occasionally it works out, more often it does not once you account for the effort and the lower price a stripped shell fetches. Ask us for a figure on the complete car before you let anyone remove anything.
Do you pay before or after towing?
Before. The vehicle does not leave your address until you have been paid and the paperwork is in order.
Is there GST or a deduction on the payment?
The figure we agree is what you are handed. Towing is included, and there is no charge for the recovery or the paperwork.
