How much can I get for an old bed?
It comes down to four things, in this order: what type it is, how old it is, whether it still works properly, and what condition the body is in. Those are the questions the form asks, and the figure it returns is the one we pay.
A newer unit in working order is worth several times a dead one of the same size. Even a unit that has stopped working entirely is worth having, because the compressor, the copper and the sheet metal are all recoverable, which is why we pay for it rather than charging to take it away.
Is it better to sell an old bed or scrap it?
Sell it, if it runs at all. A working unit is bought for resale and priced on what someone will pay for it, which is well above scrap. A kabadiwala prices the same unit by weight, and weight is the least valuable thing about it.
Scrap is the right answer only when the unit is genuinely finished. We quote both, so you are not guessing which one you are holding.
What do I need to have ready?
Nothing, beyond the bed itself and somebody at home to let the team in. The original bill helps and adds a little to the price, but no paperwork is required and we do not need the box or the manual.

FAQs
Do you take the mattress too?
We quote the bed frame, and we will take a mattress away with it. Used mattresses have very little resale value for hygiene reasons, so they add little to the figure, but there is no charge for removing one.
Is a storage bed worth more?
Yes, clearly. Storage and hydraulic beds cost considerably more new and resell faster, so they sit above a plain frame of the same size and material.
How is the price decided?
Size, frame material and storage first, then age and condition. Material is the biggest single factor: solid wood, particularly teak or sheesham, is worth several times an engineered-board frame.
Who dismantles it?
Our team, at pickup, free. Beds come apart into a headboard, side rails and a base, and none of that is your job.
